Provide Advanced First Aid

Picture
Its a bit confusing but St John traditionally uses the term "Occupational First Aid" to refer to Advanced First Aid.

Click on the link for the Provide Advanced First Aid online training. It takes a few hours to complete and you receive a certificate of completion. This will give you some really good theoretical knowledge, You will still need to complete some real practical skills and finish some quizzes face to face with your trainer.

Provide Advanced Resuscitation

Click on the link for the online training. It takes approximately 1 hour to complete and you receive a certificate of completion. This will give you some really good theoretical knowledge, The oxygen knowledge is generic. That means it will vary depending on the cylinder and equipment you use for real. You will still need to complete some real practical skills and finish some quizzes face to face with your trainer.

Oxygen

Picture
Picture
When we are at events we make sure we take Oxygen Resuscitation (Oxy Resus) green backpacks. They are a portable and quick way to give some help to a casualty that may need some oxygen.

Its a good idea at the start of an event to make yourself familiar with the Oxy Resus backpack.

Below is a video and some handouts for you to look at to help you understand our Coregas Oxygen cylinder. Its very user friendly.

You don't need to assemble lots of things. its already set up. You just need to turn it on.
