New Member Induction
During this stage you will find out about St John Ambulance and its policies and procedures, looking after yourself, working with the public and patients. You will be assigned a mentor/buddy to guide you through your training. You may also attend duties to observe how we provide first aid and health services.

First Responder
During First Responder training volunteers are issued with a uniform, name badge and ID card and begin their more advanced clinical training, leading to the issue of a Certificate II in Emergency Medical Service First Response.
This includes Advanced First Aid, Pain Management, Advanced Resuscitation qualifications. During this period volunteers attend a number of public events and treat casualties under observation.

Duties
More experienced members accompany new members on 'duties' or events. This is where new members learn valuable skills in treating members of the public under supervision,
Most duties are at a local level in the Coffs Harbour or Port Macquarie area. New members can sign up for any Divisional duties by simply clicking on the Division Event Management System (DEMS).

The Volunteer Information Portal (VIP) is the site where members can access their individual information.
You will be emailed you username and password when you are processed as a new member, You will find its the one login details for all our systems.
